I Work At GPSBob – But It Happened to Me!

Over the bank holiday weekend, everything seemed completely normal. We hit the gym, went out for a nice meal, enjoyed a few drinks, and got home at a reasonable hour. By 11pm, we were in bed, completely unaware of what was to come.
Sunday morning started just like any other. We pottered around the house, made a coffee, and began our usual lazy Sunday routine. That was until I went to grab my car keys, and they weren’t where I left them. A quick look around the house turned up nothing. Odd, but not impossible.
Then my wife noticed her bag was not where she had left it. And her car keys were nowhere to be found either.
Suddenly, that uneasy feeling started to creep in. Something wasn’t right.
We rushed to the window, both cars were still on the drive. That was a relief. But something still felt off. We checked all the doors. Everything seemed fine… until we got to the back of the house. The bi-fold doors? Unlocked.
Someone had been in our home. While we were sleeping.
At this point, I did what I always tell others to do: I checked the tracker on my car. Sure enough, there it was, a recorded attempt to start the vehicle at 1am. Someone had tried to steal my car. They had the keys. They got into my house, took them from the table, and still couldn’t get away with my vehicle.
Why?
Because I work at GPSBob and I practice what I preach.
I’ve got several layers of protection on my car, including multiple GPS trackers. But the real game-changer? A Casper Immobiliser. Without entering the correct code on the steering wheel, the engine simply won’t start. Key or no key.
That’s the only reason my car is still outside.
It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking it won’t happen to you. I certainly didn’t expect it to happen to me. But it did, and I can honestly say, if it weren’t for the protection I’d invested in, both our cars would be gone.
So here’s the takeaway: if you value your vehicle, don’t wait for a close call like this. Whether it’s a GPS tracker, an immobiliser, or both, make the move before you need it.
Because once someone’s in your house, it’s already too late to wish you had
